IF is proud to announce our partnership with SIPI’s TCU ATMS Summer Institute 2017.
If, Inc. staff, Thomas Grzybowski and Miguel Maestas, will be working with teams of students from 6 Tribal Colleges from around the US. One part of their unique Engineering experience will be learning, using, and expanding the NAVCaR technology before returning home with a UAV, a rover (with NAVCaR) and a Daisen alpha Xplorer robot with NAVCaR technology. SIPI’s summer program is a continuation of their outstanding Engineering programs recognized throughout the country from groups such as NASA and DOD.
NAVCaR: Native American Voice Controlled automated Robot
IF, Inc., in collaboration with Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI), has developed a stand-alone robot that responds to voice commands based in Native American languages. This project is a step forward to provide a solution to curb LANGUAGE LOSS and PROVIDE HANDS-ON ACCESS to ROBOTICS for Native American communities.

Tom, a retired Intel Engineer, has joined our team as an ENCORE Fellow (a United Way program) to bring his expertise to specific projects, such as NAVCaR. His wealth of knowledge and skills are well in line with the mission of IF, Inc. to “Enhance STEM education through academic competitions, support of student research, and teacher professional development“. He is collaborating/advising/creating new products for us to better reach our customers, KIDS & Teachers!!
