Our 501 (c) 3 non-profit mission:
Enhance science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education through academic competition, support of student research, and professional development for teachers
Academic Competition: RoboRAVE International
Support of Student Research: Small awards (generally less than $200) are provided on a case by case review to help a student (or team) to secure materials and/or lab analysis to complete a STEM based research project
Professional Development for Teachers: Workshops for K-16 teachers to improve their instruction, knowledge, and assessment of Common Core State Standards in Math, science, and robotics.
Examples of past PD for Teachers: Accelerate Math (Northern NM Colleges using robotics to teach math); FOCUS Math program (BIE schools in AZ, NM, MI); Science Bootcamps (K-8); Intel Math (K-8); Onsite visits, classroom observations, modeling lesson implementation, and follow-up sessions at schools in and outside the US (Dulce Independent Schools, Mescalero Schools, North Valley Academy, Bernalillo Public Schools; Implementing Inquiry Based Learning through Student Research; Loyola (Medellín, Colombia), Parque Explora (Medellín, Colombia); Žamberk & Pardubice (Czech Republic); Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu, Dalian, Beijing, & Changsha (China); and Ciudad Juárez (Mexico)
