An evening that celebrates NM Academic Athletes who star in academic competitions, conduct research, and work in innovative programs. Keynote speaker, Andy Bell, Robotics Education Manager of LEGO North America, will highlight the new and exciting educational possibilities of Legos. Join Industry, University, and K-12 leaders to meet and welcome our up and coming Young Researchers into the STEM community.

Andy Bell is the Robotics Education Manager for LEGO Education North America, where he leads the company's efforts to transform K-12 science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education through classroom use of engaging robotics technology. Andy integrates the resources and expertise of partners in industry and higher education to bring about wider adoption of hands-on technologies in schools across the globe.
Bell holds a bachelors of science in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech and is currently pursuing his Masters in Integrative STEM Education from Virginia Tech. Bell previously worked as an engineer at National Instruments in Austin, Texas, where he managed the Engineering Leadership Program and served as the K-12 Academic Program Manager. While in Austin he was an active mentor in the community and served as an advisor for the Texas Education and Business Coalition. Bell is also a Big Brother in the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. Bell resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
